From scrap tyres to useful products

Bead removing is the mechanical extraction of the harmonic steel beads that compose the supporting structure of the tyre.
Removal of the bead wire prior to shredding allows for a cleaner end product. Uni Rec bead remover has been purchased by the Italian manufacturer Salvadori, which is considered the top European brand in its field.

At this phase tyres are conveyed to a versatile shredder that shears tyres into pieces. Shredded tyres keep passing via a star screener until required size (usually 5cm*5cm) is achieved.
Equipments at this phase are supplied by a well known european brand.

At this phase tyre shreds are cut to even smaller chips (2cm*2cm and below). Equipment of this phase is supplied by a known Italian brand.

At this phase tyre chips are granulated to 1-3 mm rubber granules by passing through a two roller crusher. Several magnets and fiber separators are installed to assure a high quality product with no steel and fiber.

This phase produces very pure powder of size below one mm. Various sizes are produced according to clients requirments.

During this stage rubber powder is mixed with water and special chemicals then conveyed to an autoclave, with high temperature that can reach up to 230 celsius and high pressure rubber is de-vulcanized. De-vulcanized rubber is then pressed using several refiners to produce high quality super fine reclaim.

The environment and the economy are really both two sides of the same coin. If we cannot sustain the environment, we cannot sustain ourselves
